Harley Street at UCH is a result of a ground-breaking partnership between HCA International and University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) and provides specialist cancer services for sarcoma and haemato-oncology patients on the 15th Floor of the new UCLH tower in Euston Road in the centre of London.
HCA International is the largest provider of private cancer treatment, with a network of hospitals across London providing treatment for any type of cancer, including the brand new Cancer Centre at Queen’s Hospital Romford.
All HCA hospitals are guided by stringent policies and each has a prestigious reputation for the quality and level of complexity of care patients receive. These policies are implemented at Harley Street at UCH.
UCLH comprises seven separate hospital sites offering general and specialist services. It is one of the largest and most complex Trusts in the NHS, with a £460 million turnover, serving one of the most diverse areas of the country. The Trust was one of the first to be granted Foundation status in July 2004. 6,000 staff are employed and the Trust is a major teaching centre offering training for nurses, doctors and other health care professionals.
This well established partnership has been treating patients for over 4 years and as a result of its success is now expanding its services by opening a Young Person’s Unit. Harley Street at UCH will now treat patients from 13-19 within this purpose built unit and will provide treatment for any type of cancer.
