Harley Street at UCH is a result of a ground-breaking partnership between HCA International and University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) and provides specialist cancer services for sarcoma and haemato-oncology patients on the 15th Floor of the new UCLH tower in Euston Road in the centre of London.
The facility was opened in October 2006.
HCA International operates six world-class hospitals – The Harley Street Clinic, The Lister Hospital, London Bridge Hospital, The Portland Hospital for women and children, The Princess Grace Hospital and The Wellington Hospital; four outpatient medical centres in London. It is a subsidiary of HCA Inc., also known as Hospital Corporation of America - the world’s leading independent hospital company with a turnover of $26bn, 173 hospitals and 108 outpatient centres, servicing 14 million patients a year.
UCLH comprises seven separate hospital sites offering general and specialist services. It is one of the largest and most complex Trusts in the NHS, with a £460 million turnover, serving one of the most diverse areas of the country. The Trust was one of the first to be granted Foundation status in July 2004. 6,000 staff are employed and the Trust is a major teaching centre offering training for nurses, doctors and other health care professionals.
