Harley Street at UCH is a unique partnership between The Harley Street Clinic, a private hospital, and University College Hospital (UCH), an NHS teaching hospital in London with one of the largest haematological and sarcoma departments in Europe. Our 24-bedded centre at UCH opened in 2006.
Fully registered with the Care Quality Commission – responsible for assessing and reporting on the performance of independent healthcare organisations in England - we specialise in treating haematological (blood) cancers, with a dedicated transplant team, as well as primary bone and soft tissue cancers.
Our specialists, individually world leaders in their field, work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with other experienced medical professionals – from pharmacists and specialist nurses to interventional radiologists. They are all familiar with the complexities of cancer treatment, including stem cell and bone marrow transplants. By combining their expertise, they are able to offer patients a treatment plan tailored to specific needs, no matter how rare the type of cancer. Harley Street at UCH is a sister hospital to:
The Harley Street Clinic, one of six HCA International hospitals in London. Outside the NHS, HCA International group is the largest provider of cancer services in the UK, treating around 7,000 patients a year.
UCH, part of the University College London Hospitals (UCLH) NHS Foundation Trust, which is a group of seven leading teaching hospitals in London. Each year, UCLH diagnoses and treats over 3,500 new cancer patients. UCLH is a member of the North London Cancer Network (NLCN), which links health professionals and organisations to coordinate the delivery of cancer care.
This tripartite relationship – UCLH, The Harley Street Clinic and Harley Street at UCH – makes unrivalled knowledge and expertise accessible to our private patients.
